Michael owes his parents a bunch of money. five out of every six dollars of his total debt came about because of the time last summer when he tried to drive the snowmobile across Mud Lake. It didn't end well.

If Michael owes his parents 150 for repairs due to the snowmobile incident, how much is his total debt to his parents?

Answer:

180 dollars

Explanation:

The value of 5 out of 6 dollars,

→ x = 5/6 dollars

Then the total debt will be,

→ 150 ÷ x

→ 150 ÷ (5/6)

→ (150 × 6)/5

→ 900/5

→ 180 dollars

Hence, total debt is $180.
