Based on the principles of side lengths of a triangle, the sum of any two sides of the triangle must be greater than the third side.

let the third side of the triangle = k

18 + 26 > k

44 > k

18 + k > 26

k > 26 - 18

k > 8

So the third side of the triangle must be less than 44 and also greater than 8.

8 < k < 44

Thus, the possible lengths of the third side of the triangle is;

18 and 24.
