Subtract equation 1 from equation 2:
5x - 6y - (5x + 2y) = -4 - (-12)
-8y = -4 + 12
-8y = 8
y = -1
Plug y into any of the equations to find x. Plugging into the first equation:
5x - 6(-1) = -4
5x + 6 = -4
5x = -10
x = -2
Hope this helps!
