Include a minimum of one researched source to inform your contentions.

The Country of my Selection is: Japan

  • Title of the essay is: Navigating Intercultural Business Communication: Avoiding Microaggressions and Embracing Diversity Consciousness

Japan is a highly collectivistic society that values harmony, respect, and politeness. In Japan, a highly collectivistic society, effective communication hangs on indirectness, relationship-building, and hierarchical respect.

When conducting business with a Japanese organization, prioritize building relationships, embracing indirect communication, emphasizing harmony, appreciating hierarchy, and being punctual and organized. In a multicultural setting, adapt your communication style to suit the specific cultural group.

Therefore, to avoid microaggressions, educate yourself about different cultures, question your assumptions, and embrace diversity consciousness. Be mindful of nonverbal cues, exercise patience and flexibility.
