Explanation:

For your probability, the bottom number is ALL the possibilities. The top number is the number of ways that your desired outcome can happen. In this case, its easier to count how many ways you can get a multiple of 8 (8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48---6 ways!)

Then subtract,

50 - 6 is 44.

44 numbers are NOT multiples of 8.

P(~multiple of 8)

= 44/50

Simplify.

= 22/25
