The value of x can be obtained as 3.

What are equivalent triangles?

The term "scaled versions" refers to triangles that are similar in shape but may vary in size. Their matching sides preserve the same ratio and their matching angles are congruent, signifying a constant scale factor.

Using similarity criteria such as AA, SSS, or SAS, they can be distinguished without having to be congruent (of the same size). In geometry, these triangles are used for many purposes, such as scaling shapes, proving theorems, and resolving proportional problems.

Since the triangles are equivalent triangles we have that;

8x - 6 = 3x + 9

8x - 3x = 9 + 6

5x = 15

x = 3
