let's notice, regardless of their sizes, both triangles have a 68° angle and a 44° angle, thus the triangles are similar by AA, the heck does that mean?

$\cfrac{ED}{AC}=\cfrac{DF}{AB}\implies \cfrac{18}{6}=\cfrac{DF}{8}\implies 3=\cfrac{DF}{8}\implies 24=DF$
