What are the steps to figure out this math word problem? 5.9% of women were diagnosed with diabetes, how many were not diagnosed?

Answer: The answer is 94.1

Explanation:

Because if it's a percent then the total number would be 100%. So if 5.9% were diagnosed and the rest of the 100% weren't, you would do 100-5.9 which would give you an answer of 94.1.
