The initial height is 5 feet.

From the graph

x min = 0 and x max = 5

y min = 0 and y max = 9

Time to reach maximum height = 2 seconds

Rocket's maximum height is 9 feet

Total time in the air is 5 seconds

How to find the initial height

The initial height is given by the constant term in the equation. Or the y intercept of the graph, which is 5 feet

The rocket reaches its maximum height at the x-coordinate of the vertex of the parabola. x = 2

The maximum height is the value of y when the rocket reaches its vertex. y coordinate of the vertex, y = 9

The total time in the air is the time it takes for the rocket to go up and come back down. From the graph, this is 5 seconds
