Where p, q, r, ... are the zeros or roots of the equation

For equal zeros or roots say x = 4 twice

In factored form we have

f(x) = (x - 4)²

For unequal zeros or roots say x = 4 and x = 3

In factored form we have

f(x) = (x - 4) (x - 3)
