Answer = 46
Substitute the known values of a, band c into the expression b^2 - 2ac.
a = 3, b = 4, c = -5
b^2 – 2ac
(4)^2 – 2(3)(-5)
16 – 6(-5)
16 – (-30)
16 + 30 = 46
