Why might a voter consider a candidate's experience, platform, debate, and ads when deciding whether or not to vote for them?

because if the candidate is not good enough he or she may put america’s fate in danger and we could have a ruined economy which would be very dangerous to rebuild and fix back up

It is important to consider a candidate’s experience and platform to determine if the coincide with your own personal beliefs and values. How a candidate portrays themselves to the public should also be in agreement with what you find right and just. No candidate’s platform is ever going to be 100% in agreement with another person’s ideals BUT the smart voter picks a candidate they feel will get the job done and in the ways that mirror their morals.
