When answering questions like these first, combine like terms you get 3x+5 =3x+8, Subtract 5 from both of the sides you get 3x=3x+3 remove 3x from both sides and you got 0=3 this is a contradicting statement meaning no solution ∅

B) Distribute first, 3x + 2 -x = x + 3 + 3x +4

2, Combine the like terms 2x - 1 = 7 + 4x

3, Isolate variable and constants 2x = 8 + 4x

3(1) Cont- Isolation -2x = 8

Thus divide both side by -2 giving us -4
