He saved 15 dollars.

Discount is 25% 25% as a decimal is 0.25. You multiply 0.25 by 60;original price)
0.25 multiplied by 60 equals 15.
He saved 15 dollars and the new price is $45

Answer:

$15

Explanation:

First you move the decimal in the percent 2 times to the left and get .25. And then you multiply that by 60 and get 15.
