Explanation:

Let numbers be X and X+5,

now we know that sum of smaller and 4 times of larger number is 100..

So in equations we can write →

X + 4(X+5) = 100

X + 4X + 20 = 100

5X + 20 = 100

X = 80 ÷ 5

X = 16

So we got the smaller number = 16 ,

smaller number = 16 , Larger number = 16 + 5 = 24 .
