I'm struggling a little bit can someone help?? A cell phone costs $850. You have a coupon for 15% off. How much will you pay for the phone? Include 13% tax

Given:

  • 850 dollars is the original price of the cell phone.
  • (discount) coupon for 15% off
  • tax is 13 percent.

------------------------------------------------------------------

original price - discount = sales price

  • 850 - (850 x
    (15)/(100) ) = sales price

  • ANSWER: $722.50 or
    (1445)/(2)

Include 13% tax... price + sales tax = total price of the phone

  • 722.50 + (722.50 x
    (13)/(100) ) = ?
  • ANSWER: The final price of the cellphone is $816.43

not exactly sure its right but i did use a calculator so I'm pretty sure it's right
