So


(3)/(3+2+7) = (3)/(12) of the pearls are black


(2)/(3+2+7) = (2)/(12) of the pearls are red.


(7)/(3+2+7) = (7)/(12) of the pearls are green.

For each 12 pearls, 2 are red. So

P(red) = 2/12 = 1/6
