The slope of the linear equation is -0.4
How to find the slope?
If a line passes through two points (x₁, y₁) and (x₂, y₂), then the slope of the line is given by:
a = (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁)
Here we have the points (-2, 6) and (-12, 2), replacing that in the formula we will get the slope:
a = (2 - 6)/(-12 + 2)
a = -4/10 = -0.4
