Why did President Andrew Jackson and Southern farmers support the Indian Removal Act?

A- thought the Cherokee should get to keep their land
B- They wanted to sell the land to northerners
C- President Jackson wanted to take the land for the government, the farmers supported him
D- The Southem fammers wanted the Cherokee land for themselves, Jackson supported them

I think the answer is D! :) The farmers needed the land for their crops, so this one makes the most sense at this time. If not, my second guess is C.

Answer: D

The farmers wanted the land that the Cherokee had because it was good for farming. With this new land and the ability to grow new crops. Meant that the economy would go up.
