⇒ ∠1 and ∠2 are angles lying on a straight line.

⇒This simply means that the sum of ∠1 and ∠2 since the straight line forms an angle of 180°

∠1+∠2=180°

⇒It is given that the measure of ∠2 is 60° more than ∠1

This means that to get ∠2 you have to add 60° in ∠1

As a conclusion we can say that ∠2=∠1+60°...(second equation to get ∠2)

⇒In the equation ∠1 +∠2=180°

⇒Substitute the value of ∠2 which is (∠1+60°)

∠1+(∠1+60°)=180°

⇒Now simplify to get the value of∠1

∠1+∠1=180°-60°

2(∠1)=120°

Note I got 2(∠1) since ∠1+∠1= 2× (∠1)

2( < 1)=120\\(2( < 1))/(2) =(120)/(2) \\ < 1=60

∠1 =60°

⇒Note from what we have now we can also get the value of∠2 but we were not asked to get it. Therefore we will not.
