Answer

•Part A = 1/6 cups of sugar

•Part B = 16/3 pie

Step-by-step explanation

•Part A

3/8 cup of sugar = 2 1/4 cups of flour

1 cups of flour = 3/8 : 2 1/4

= 3/8 : 9/4

= 3/8 × 4/9

= 12/72 = 1/6

•Part B

Every pie = 1 1/2 cups of flour

Available = 8 cups of flour

Max pie = 8 : 1 1/2 = 16/3pie

#Now check if the sugar is enough for 16/3 pie

Sugar needed = 16/3 × 1/6 = 8/8

#8/9 is less than 1, so sugar needed is enough. The pie you can make max is 16/3pie
