For example if we have to subtract − 3 8 from 1 4 means, adding 3 8 to 1 4 or 1 4 + 3 8 and as 1 4 equal to 2 8, 1 4 + 3 8 = 2 8 + 3 8 = 2 + 3 8 = 5 8
