(d)/(2) =
√(2.)
(15)/(2) = about 10.61 cm

Explanation:

given that the diagonal of square is 15cm . We need to find out the length of the side . Now see the attached image. From image it is clear that im in triangle ABC ,

a² + a² = (15cm)² [Pythagoras theorem]

2a² = 225cm²

a² = 225cm²/2

a = √{225cm²}/√2

a = 15/√2cm = 15/1.414 cm

a = 10.6 cm [ required answer]

and we are done!
