Penelope the prize-winning puzzle publisher has been in the business of making and selling jigsaw puzzles since 1996. For the past ten years Penelope has sold an average of 488 puzzles per month. She feels that because families have been spending more time at home due to COVID that puzzle sales are up and her average of 488 per month has increased. She is thinking about testing this notion with a hypothesis test. Because a hypothesis test is even more fun than one of her jigsaw puzzles. Penelope’s favorite puzzle was a picture of paper towels on a shelf. As you would guess, she has no friends. Do you have a friend for Penelope?
