By using the diagram above, the angle pair should be matched with the relationship type as follows;

∠1 and ∠8 ↔ Alternate Exterior Angles.

∠6 and ∠7 ↔ Same-side interior angles.

∠5 and ∠7 ↔ Corresponding angles.

The Alternate Exterior Angles Theorem states that when two parallel lines are cut through by a transversal, the alternate exterior angles that are formed are congruent;

∠1 and ∠8

The same-side interior angles postulate states that two lines are parallel when two lines and a transversal form supplementary same side interior angles.

∠6 and ∠7

The corresponding angles theorem is a theorem which states that corresponding angles are always congruent when the transversal intersects two parallel lines;

∠5 and ∠7
