melts cubes of wax that are each 4 cm by 4 cm by 4 cm. How many of the wax cubes will Devin need in order
to make the candle? Show your work.

Explanation:

Volume of the pyramid is 1/3 base area * height

= 1/3 * (9x9) * 10 = 270 cm^3

each cube has a volume of 4 x 4 x 4 = 64 cm^3

270 cm^3 / (64 cm^3 /cube) = 4.22 cubes or FIVE needed
