∠ A = 34°

Explanation:

complementary angles sum to 90° , then

5x - 11 + 6x + 2 = 90

11x - 9 = 90 ( add 9 to both sides )

11x = 99 ( divide both sides by 11 )

x = 9

Then

∠ A = 5x - 11 = 5(9) - 11 = 45 - 11 = 34°
