The given two equations are :

and

lets just put the value of y from first equation into the second one ~

$\qquad \rm\dashrightarrow \:y = 3x - 10$

$\qquad \rm\dashrightarrow \:2x = 3x - 10$

$\qquad \rm\dashrightarrow \:3x - 2x = 10$

$\qquad \rm\dashrightarrow \:x = 10$

Hence, the value of x is 10 ~

now, put value of x in first equation :

$\qquad \rm\dashrightarrow \:y = 2x$

$\qquad \rm\dashrightarrow \:y = 2 * 10$

$\qquad \rm\dashrightarrow \:y = 20 \\$

There! value of y is 20 ~
