Check the picture below.


\cos(y )=\cfrac{\stackrel{adjacent}{√(3)}}{\underset{hypotenuse}{2}} \implies \cos^(-1)(~~\cos( y )~~) =\cos^(-1)\left( \cfrac{√(3)}{2} \right) \\\\\\ y =\cos^(-1)\left( \cfrac{√(3)}{2} \right)\implies y =30^o
