If you are trying to find the value of x I think I have a solution!

First you would multiply 2x2 which equals 4.
1st Step: 4 - 3x - 5 = 0

Next you must subtract the 4 and 5 since they are like terms.
2nd Step: -1 - 3x = 0

Next change the -1’s sign by adding 1 to 0.
3rd Step: -3x= 1

Then divide -3 on both sides in which the left side cancels out which you leaves you to your answer:
Answer: x= -1/3
