To solve a question like this I'd first turn the fraction into a decimal like this:

fractions are really just division problems so you'd take -3/5 and solve it

-3/5=-0.6

so then your equation is

2/3x=-0.6

Next you need to get the x's and the answer alone. To do this reverse the number (the 2).

To do this:

2/3x=-0.6

Because its a division problem to get rid of the 2 you need to multiply it by the answer. So that's 2x-0.6

2x-0.6=-1.2

Then take the answer and replace it with this new answer like this:

3x=-1.2

then divide each side by 3 because that's how many x's there are.

Tip: you don't really need to divide the x side if that easier. Just take of the number in front of it.

so that's:

-1.2/3=-0.4

and that's x.

X=-0.4
