Anna baked 18 oatmeal and 27 chocolate chip cookies. She wants to divide them into identical containers so that each container has the same number of each kind of cookie for her friends. If she wants each container to have the greatest number of cookies possible, how many containers does she need?

Answer:

22 containers

Explanation:

Add the oatmeal and chocolate chip, which will give you 45 cookies

Then divide that by 2 and you will get 22.5

Since we're asking for the whole we don't need the .5

so Anna would need 22 containers for each person to get one oatmeal and one chocolate
