Carrie is planning to put photos in a photo album. She has 53 photos. Each page in the photo album can hold 9 photos. Carrie will fill each page with photos before starting on the next page. To find the number of pages she will need, Carrie calculates 53÷9. She gets a remainder of 8, so she decides that she will need 8 pages to place all of her photos in the photo album. Carrie's reasoning is incorrect. Explain The mistake Carrie makes. Enter your explanation in the space provided.

Answer: Carrie will only need 6 pages. Because 5 pages hold 45 pictures. And then she has 8, which all can fit in one other page. So 5 + 1 = 6. Therefore she only needs 6 pages not 8.
