There is a box of cards in front of you with 9 heart cards, 4 spade cards, 7 club

cards, and 8 diamond cards. What is the probability of selecting a heart, not
replacing it, then selecting a spade, not replacing it, and on the third pick,
selecting a card that is not diamond? *

Answer:

heart cards 9/28

spade cards 4/27

diamond card 18/26

Explanation:

you have 9 heart cards in all and 28 in all

take one heart out and not replacing you have 27

you have a 4/27 chance of getting spade because you have 4 spades out of 27 cards

now you have 26 cards from taking the one spade & heart out you have a 8/26 chance of getting diamond but a 18/26 chance of getting any other card
