Well, you know, at the most basic level, we’re all the same. Even if you zoom out, we have the same inherent needs and desires. If you consider personalities, you’ll see that our identities there are all based upon the specific capsules and generalizations of our vocabularies and languages. We like to think of ourselves as unique, and special, and better than the rest, but that simply isn’t true. We’re more alike than anyone would care to admit (myself included). It’s easy to lose sight of it, but in reality, the molds and boundaries we set up for ourselves only exist because we’ve created them. They aren’t objectively true, and I think any omniscient, omnipotent figure could recognize that. Its thought process could never be conveyed through its creations, and it would acknowledge nothing we would consider special as such. It would have its own standards, far apart from our own.
