98 fourth graders, 108 fifth graders, and 28 chaperones are going to the circus. They will be going on 4 buses that have a maximum of 66 riders each. How many people will be on each bus?

Each bus would have 59 people.

Number of 4th graders: 98
Number of 5th graders: 108
Number of chaperones: 28

Total number of people = Number of 4th graders + Number of 5th graders + Number of chaperones
Total number of people = 234
Numbers of bus needed = Total Number of people / Maximum capacity per bus
Number of buses needed= 234/66 ≈ 3.545

We can’t have fractions of a bus, so we round up to the next number which is 4 to transport 234.
Number of people on bus = 234/4=58.5 rounded up to 59.
