62 legs. How many of each animal are there?

Your answer would be 11 pigs and 9 chickens

Explanation:

X= Chickens

Y= Pigs

11 is the number of pigs

9 is the number of chickens

11*4

multiply your number of pigs by the number of legs the animal has.

9*2

multiply your number of chickens by the number of legs the animal has.

11*4=44

9*2=18

44+18=62

add the calcutions together
