You can spend no more than $100 on a party you are hosting. The cost per guest is $8. Write and solve an inequality that represents the numbers of guests g you can invite to the party.

Given data

We are told that the cost per guest is $8

let the number of expected quest be x

Hence the inequality is


100\leq 8x

divide both sides by 8

x=100/8

x=12.5

Hence the number of guests should not be more than 12
