Given:

The cost to install x number of central air conditioning units for a company is given by the function

C(x)=(4000x+1300)/(3)

To find:

The cost to install 45 air conditioners.

Solution:

We have,

C(x)=(4000x+1300)/(3)

Putting x=45, we get

C(45)=(4000(45)+1300)/(3)

C(45)=(180000+1300)/(3)

C(45)=(181300)/(3)

C(45)=60433.3333...

C(45)\approx 60433.33

Therefore, the cost to install 45 air conditioners is $60433.33.
