Answer:

slope=-2

Explanation:

Alrighty, I would love to help. So with slopes, we usually are given t-tables as such to determine how a line will look on a coordinate plane. When given the lines, we use the formula:

(rise)/(run)

Although, we are given the coordinates instead which our formula then is:

\frac{y_{2-y_(1) } }{x_(2)-x_(1) }

Although this may look confusing all it is saying is that we are going to do the following:

We have coordinates (-1,1) and (0,-1)

By applying the formula given earlier, all it is saying is that we are going to take -1-1 and 0-1 like such:

\frac{y_{2-y_(1) } }{x_(2)-x_(1) } \\\\(-1-1)/(0-1) \\-1-1=-2\\0-(-1)=1\\slope=(-2)/(1) \\slope=-2

When working with fractions, any number over 1 is just the numerator(top number) say if we had 10/1, then our answer is 10 since we are dividing 10 by 1.

I would be happy to help you again in the future and hope that this provided you with some clarification. Have a nice day! :D
