-y = -x + 1 Divide all the way through by -1

y = x - 1

These line are parallel because they have the same slope.

On the green line I highlightes tow points (0,4) and (3,7) . (0,4) tells us where the line crosses the y anxis. Thiis will be in the form (0,b) b stands for the y intercept. This graph is crossing the green line at 4. The slope is 1. The patern form the first point (0,4) is to move up one and move right one. This pattern continues throuhg point (3,7) and beyond.
