What do you think makes a good story?

What was the title and author of the narrative you selected?
What was the narrative about?
As you consider the author’s rhetorical situation, what was the author’s purpose? Who was the audience for this narrative? What clues did you use from the narrative to make an educated guess about the audience? How did the author arrange or organize the information they shared? Why do you feel they chose that organization?
Did the narrative you read remind you of a time you learned something important? What portions of the narrative could you most relate to? Why or how?
We all know people who tell stories. Sharing stories with others is a common practice. Describe the best storyteller you know OR the worst. What attributes make a good storyteller stand out or be interesting? OR What features make a storyteller be ineffective?
All three of the selections are narratives. Which one of the three seems more like a story to you? Explain your answer.

A good story is characterized by various elements, including an engaging plot, well-developed characters, a compelling setting, and a problem that builds tension and is resolved. The title and author of the narrative I selected are not provided in the question. In considering the author's rhetorical situation, the purpose of the narrative could be to entertain, educate, or reinforce cultural norms. The audience for this narrative can be determined by clues from the narrative, such as the language used and the themes explored. The author organizes the information in a way that best serves their purpose, which could include chronological order or starting in the middle of the action.

The narrative I read is not specified in the question. If it reminded me of a time I learned something important, I would relate to the portions of the narrative that discuss personal growth, challenges, or lessons learned. The best storyteller I know stands out because of their ability to use vivid descriptions, create suspense, and captivate their audience. Ineffective storytellers often lack coherence, fail to engage the audience, or use excessive details. Out of the three selections mentioned in the question, it is not determined which one seems more like a story.
