x=10

Explanation:

x+ 5= 3x - 21 +6

x+5 = 3x - 15

20= 2x

The reason for this is you distribute the 3 giving you 5+x=3x-21+6.
Then add the 6 to make 5+x=3x-15
Add 15 on both sides to make 20+x=3x
Subtract x on both sides to be 20=2x
Divide both sides by 2 to make 10=x
