You were asked to graph the linear equation. y-1= - 3/5(x-1)

We know from the previous question m = -3/5

The given equation, y-1 = - 3/5(x-1), is given in point slope form
y-y1 = m(x-x1)now find the point on the line (x1,y1)

Answer:

(x₁, y₁ ) = (1, 1 )

Explanation:

the equation of a line in point- slope form is

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁ )

m is the slope and (x₁, y₁ ) a point on the line

given

y - 1 = -
(3)/(5) (x - 1 ) ← in point- slope form

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (1, 1 )
