The equation of the line in the graph is y = (1/2)*x + b

How to find the equation of the line?

A general linear equation is written as:

y = a*x + b

Where a is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

Using the graph we can see that the y-intercept is at y = -2, then we can write:

y = a*x - 2

We also can see that the line passes through (4, 0), then we can replace these values to get:

0 = a*4 - 2

2 = a*4

2/4 = a

1/2 = a

The equation of the line is:

y = (1/2)*x + b
