The values of x and y are 15 and 20 respectively

A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with a pair of parallel line.

The angles adjacent to the parallel sides are called base angles and are equal.

The sum of other two angles is 180°

This means that;

6x = 90

x = 90/6

x = 15

and also;

5y + 4y = 180

9y = 180

y = 180/9

y = 20

Therefore, the values of x and y are 15 and 20 respectively.
