Which function represents a reflection of f(x) = (2)* over the x-axis?

○ g(x)=-3/7(2)^x

○ g(x) = 3/7(-2)^x

○ g(x) = 3/7 (1/2)^-x

○ g(x) = 7/3(2)^-x

Answer:

the first option g(x) = -(3/7)×(2)^x

Explanation:

a reflection over the x-axis simply means that everything that was above (positive y values) the x-axis is now with the same dimension below (negative y-values) the x-axis. and vice versa.

so, all that happens is that the general sign of the functional expression flips (either from + to - or from - to +). the rest stays the same.

the only answer option doing that is the first one.
