Introduction, Routine, and Curiosity.
Introduction because these chapters set the stage for the story, introducing us to the world and the characters. We get to meet Jonas, his family, and his community, and we start to get a sense of the rules and structure that govern their lives.
Routine because these chapters focus on the daily lives and routines of the characters. We see Jonas going through his everyday activities, such as his school, family interactions, and the ceremonies that mark different stages of life. It helps establish the monotony and conformity of their society.
Curiosity because Jonas starts to feel a sense of curiosity and questioning about the world around him. He becomes intrigued by the concept of "Elsewhere" and starts to wonder about the memories that the Receiver of Memory holds. This curiosity sets the stage for the conflicts and discoveries that will unfold later in the story.
