Decide whether −3/12 terminates or repeats when expressed as a decimal

It terminates. When you put this into your calculator, you get -0.25. It terminates, or ends, after the 5.

A repeating decimal is like this...
0.2837268765108375682.... you get the idea. It could also be represented at with a bar above the last digit(s) as that repeats forever. But the answer is terminating. Good luck!
