trigonometric relations :

x=r*cos(θ)

y=r*sin(θ)

r=2 and θ=π/3

with calculator ---> cos(π/3)=0.5 and sin(π/3)=√3/2

the rectangular coordinates are .

x= 2*0.5=1

y=2(√3/2)= √3

the rectangular coordinates of point (2, π/3) are (1,√3)
